This doctor is very nice and takes time to discuss your treatment plan and answer questions. However, my post-op experience could have been greatly improved. I was given incorrect information from the surgeon about when I needed to begin physical therapy after my partial meniscectomy. This caused me to be confused and frustrated about being told one thing before the surgery then trying to figure out what I was actually supposed to be doing in the immediate post-op period. I was labeled as "refusing PT" which did not happen. I am 3 months post-op from my partial meniscectomy and I have been to Dr. Hood's office many times. He doesn't remember important facts from one visit to the next which is very disconcerting. He did not remember that I have nerve damage from the nerve block which is a very rare thing to happen, and we had discussed this in detail on my previous visit. So my overall impression after many visits is that he is nice but may not remember you or your issues from one visit to the next.
